How To Get Self Confidence

It´s very important to know how to get self confidence. I was just reading an interesting article about it, and I would like to share with you what I came up with.

Developing Self Confidence

You are born free from any role. As you grow up, you acquire different type of roles to be able to face situations that are frequent in your live.  You adopt the role of a child, pupil, friend, parent, employe, etc. Little by little you stop being who you really are and, instead, you interpret various roles.

You end up developing a belief that “you are not enough”, and therefore you lose self confidence you were born with.

How to get self confidence it´s a very important issue because it determines the level of your happiness. So, how can you develop our self confidence?

Let´s see.

Over time, you start to think in a certain way. Your environment influences you and makes you develop those patterns of thinking. You do that for many reasons: by imitation, to protect yourself, to feel as a part of a group, etc.

This is not a moment to judge yourself. It´s not necessary. Just realize what kind of thoughts, emotions, sensations, feelings do you have when you realize that you´re losing self confidence.

To get self confidence you need to release all those negative emotions.

All those feelings and believes are just masks. Those masks are layers that cover your qualities. Underneath these layers, there is a person you are trying to become: a happy, capable, calm, successful, peaceful and self confident person. And when you let go of all those layers, you will discover that you´re already complete.

There are several techniques that can help you to “let go” of those emotions, for example meditation, Ho’oponopono, Reiki, The Sedona Method, etc.

The Sedona Method deals directly with letting go of emotions. Think that your ideal “I” is hidden below nine layers of emotions. The Sedona Method uses simple and easy to use tolls that you can use anytime and anywhere to release your emotions. I encourage you to test it out for yourself with this exercise.

As you practice this technique, its effectiveness will increase exponentially. If you persist,  you will discover that this technique is extremely useful in developing self confidence and other habilities.

These useful quotes about self confidence might be helpful as well:

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” ~Dalai Lama
“Don´t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” ~ Anonymous
“Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are”. ~Malcolm S.Forbes

Cheers everyone! Got to say, these are great tips. Especially smiling and speaking slowly. It empowers you!
It’s just amazing how much self-confidence can span every single aspect of a person’s life. I’ve recently overcome a fear of being out with people in large groups. I usually prefer small gatherings with people who already know me. But after focusing on myself and just going out more, for goodness sake, I’ve really put myself together and conquered myself.

I wish everyone else good luck on their own journeys. Here’s a tip, just to be random. Take it as you will: have yourself a mentor.
It’s the difference between mastering a craft, and giving up time and time again…

    Anyways, God Bless, everyone.
    Take it easy
